TikTok's Top Tarot Reader Deleted Everything and Found Jesus

Alex built her name reading tarot cards for nearly a million followers. Then she gave it all up for Jesus, and her testimony is still echoing far beyond TikTok.

For years, the account "Alex Reads Tarot" pulled in an audience most ministries would envy: nearly a million followers on TikTok who tuned in for card pulls, spirit guidance, and readings on everything from love to career moves. Then, in late June, Alex posted a ten minute video that had nothing to do with tarot at all. She was leaving it behind, all of it, for Jesus.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

What Did Alex Actually Say?

In the video, first reported by CBN News, Alex told her followers plainly why she was walking away. "Jesus Christ has saved my life, and I can no longer ignore that reality," she said. She admitted the decision cost her something real: tarot reading had become, in her words, "a huge part of my life," not just a job but an identity built in front of an audience of hundreds of thousands. She renamed her account "Alex in the Ordinary," deleted every piece of tarot content she had ever posted, and told viewers there was no coming back. "I'm not going to be creating any more tarot content," she said. "And, once this account is gone, I will not be returning."

Why Did It Take a Year to Get Here?

Alex was careful to say her conversion was not a lightning bolt moment. According to Faithwire, she described nearly a year of quietly wrestling with questions she could no longer brush aside as her faith grew underneath the surface of her public life. "If you told me a year ago I'd be making this video, I probably wouldn't have believed you," she said. That kind of slow turn, doubt building on doubt until the old life simply cannot hold, is a familiar shape for anyone who has watched a real conversion happen up close. It rarely looks like the dramatic before and after story people expect. It looks like a year of small, honest questions finally adding up to one large answer.

The cost was immediate and public. Roughly 30,000 of her followers left within days of the announcement. Some called the move painful or confusing, mourning content they said had genuinely helped them. Others in the tarot and occult community accused her of being pressured into it. Alex did not walk it back.

What Does a Former Psychic Make of It?

In an interview with CBN News, Jenn Nizza said she knows exactly what Alex is stepping into. Nizza is a former psychic medium who spent years working professionally in the occult before her own conversion to Christianity, a path that started, she says, with tarot cards at age 13. She called tarot her own "gateway into the demonic" and described her exit as a ten month process rather than an instant deliverance. Her advice for Alex was direct: find "a solid, biblically based church," build a daily habit of Scripture and prayer, and expect real spiritual resistance in the months ahead. "Even though the enemy will come at you," Nizza said, "you have the victory in Christ." She closed with a line worth remembering for anyone walking away from something the world told them they needed: "Never look back, because what you've put behind yourself could never have measured up to Jesus."
