The night before Peter was to be executed, God sent an angel.

Peter was chained between two guards, doors locked, surrounded by soldiers. By morning, he was supposed to be dead. Instead, an angel woke him up, the chains fell off his wrists, every door opened by itself, and he walked out free.

Acts 12:6-11 is one of the most dramatic miracle accounts in the New Testament.
